Set up your tap tags

A loyalty tag is a small sticker you put on your counter. A diner taps their phone against it on the way out and earns a stamp — no app, no code to read out, and nothing for your staff to do. This page is the whole setup.

Setting up a tag

1. Stick it on the counter, somewhere a diner can reach on their way past. The front of the till or the edge of the pickup shelf both work well.
2. Wake your own phone and tap it against the tag. A page opens in your browser saying the tag isn't active yet.
3. Tap "Are you the restaurant? Set this tag up", sign in if you aren't already, and pick your restaurant.

That's it. The tag is now linked and the next diner who taps it earns a stamp.

You don't have to register anything with us first, and there's no code to type in — holding the tag is the proof it's yours.

Your pack has three tags

Most restaurants use one, on the counter. Put a second by the exit if diners leave a different way, and keep the third as a spare. A diner can only earn one stamp every six hours, so tapping two of your tags in one visit is harmless — it just counts once.

Before diners can earn

Your punch card has to be published — a tag with no live card has nothing to stamp. Set one up under Loyalty cards → Punch card.

Checking it works

Open Loyalty cards → Punch card and look at a diner's progress before and after they tap. The count moves with nobody touching the till.

If a tap says "This tag isn't active yet" after you've set it up, you're probably tapping a different tag from the pack — each one links separately.

If a tag goes missing

Go to Loyalty cards → Check in, open your tags, and remove it. That unlinks it immediately, so a tag that walks off can't be used against your restaurant. Email us and we'll send a replacement.
