Plans & the 60-day trial
Everything is included for 60 days with no card, and what changes if you don't subscribe.
There is one plan and it includes everything: your loyalty punch-card, the Foodie Passport network, follower updates and push alerts, the menu editor with AI menu scanning, photos, your QR code, and your whole team's dashboard access. You get 60 days of all of it free, and we don't ask for a card to start.
How it works
- Your 60 days start when your restaurant does. No card, no checkout, no trial that quietly bills you on day 61.
- The Billing page shows the days left. Open Settings → Billing for a countdown and, when you're ready, the Subscribe button.
- Subscribe whenever it's earned its keep. Monthly or yearly — see pricing for the rates. Checkout runs through Stripe, so AskFoodie never sees your card.
- Subscribing ends the trial and replaces it. Your remaining free days aren't held in reserve, so cancelling later doesn't drop you back into them.
The founding price
The rate you subscribe at today is our founding price, and we're holding it for our first 100 restaurants. After that it goes to $99/month billed annually, or $150/month month-to-month.
Two things worth knowing before you decide when to subscribe:
- Nothing moves on its own. There is no date in the calendar and no automatic increase. When we reach 100 restaurants we'll tell you before anything changes.
- You can hold your founding price past that. Every restaurant you refer that becomes a paying customer holds it for another year — for both of you. See Referrals & the founding price.
If the trial ends and you haven't subscribed
Your restaurant stays online and your diners never see a billing message from us. What stops is earning:
- New punches stop landing. Staff can still look a diner up, but the visit doesn't add to their card, and Passport visits stop counting.
- Your QR menu keeps serving. Menu, photos, serving times and your page carry on exactly as before — a menu is never gated. We warn you, never your diners.
Nothing your diners already earned is touched. Cards they hold keep their progress, and rewards they've already completed stay in their wallet and stay claimable — a card is a promise your restaurant made, and lapsing with us never breaks it. Subscribe and earning resumes where it left off.
Good to know
- Plans are per restaurant. Each restaurant you run has its own 60 days and its own subscription.
- Only the billing owner manages the subscription. Other owners see the status, managers don't see Billing at all. See Who pays.
- The dashboard never locks you out. Whatever your billing status, you can always edit your menu, print your QR code, and open your loyalty card.
- Claimed a restaurant we'd already listed? It gets the same 60 days, and the clock starts when you claim it — not when the listing was created.
- A failed card is not a cancellation. Everything keeps running for about two weeks while Stripe retries — see Manage your subscription.
- Referred by another restaurant? Enter their code on the Billing page before you subscribe — you both hold the founding price a year longer. See Referrals.
If something's wrong
Subscribed but the Billing page still shows the trial? Payments can take a moment to confirm — give it a few minutes, and contact us if it hasn't caught up.
