Manage your subscription

Your subscription lives under Settings → Billing. Payments run through Stripe's secure checkout and billing portal, so AskFoodie never sees your card details.

Subscribing

1. Open Settings → Billing and tap Subscribe.
2. Pick monthly or yearly, and complete Stripe's checkout.
3. That's it — punches start landing again the moment the subscription is active, and the Billing page shows your plan and next billing date.

Updating your card or cancelling

Tap Manage billing on the Billing page to open the Stripe portal, where you can change your payment method, see invoices, or cancel. Cancelling is scheduled for the end of your paid period — everything keeps working until then.

If a payment fails

Cards expire and banks decline — it happens, and it doesn't take your restaurant down with it.

• Everything keeps running for about two weeks. Punches still land, the Passport still counts, your QR menu carries on. Your diners never see a billing problem of ours at your counter.
• We email the billing owner straight away, and the Billing page shows Past due with an Update payment method button.
• Stripe retries the charge during that window. If one goes through, everything simply continues — there is nothing to switch back on.
• If it's still unpaid at the end of the window, new punches stop. Your menu and QR code carry on. Cards your diners already hold, and rewards they have already completed, are never touched — the same rule as cancelling.

Updating your card in the portal fixes it at any point.

Good to know

• Only the billing owner can manage the subscription. Other owners see the plan status but not the controls; managers don't see Billing at all. See Who pays.
• Plans are per restaurant. Each restaurant you run subscribes on its own.
• If a payment fails, nothing switches off that day — see below.
• Cancelled and changed your mind? Reactivate from the same portal before the period ends, or subscribe fresh afterwards.
