Referrals & the founding price

You're on our founding price, and we're holding it for our first 100 restaurants. After that it goes to $99/month billed annually, or $150/month month-to-month.

Every restaurant you refer that becomes a paying customer holds your founding price for one more year after it ends for everyone else — and they get a year too.

Your code

Open Settings → Billing and look under Founding price. Your code looks like MARIOS-4B2C9F. Tap Copy, or just read it out — it's built to be said across a table, not only pasted into a browser.

Give it to another restaurant owner. That's the whole mechanism; there's no link to send, no form for them to fill in, and nothing for you to chase.

Using someone else's code

If another restaurant gave you their code, enter it under Settings → Billing, just above the Subscribe button.

Add it before you subscribe. A code can only be attached while you're still on the free trial — once your subscription starts, the box is gone. That's the one deadline in this, and it's why the box sits where the Subscribe button is rather than further down the page.

You don't have to enter it the day you sign up. Any time before your first payment works.

When the year actually lands

A referral pays out when both restaurants are paying customers:

1. They enter your code during their trial.
2. They subscribe. That's what earns the year.
3. You're subscribed too.

If you're still on your own free trial when they subscribe, nothing is lost — the referral waits, and both years land the moment you subscribe. The Billing page says which of the two is still outstanding rather than showing you a zero with no explanation.

What you'll see

Under Founding price, the Billing page shows the years you hold and where each one came from:

• Restaurants you referred that have subscribed, by name, each with the year it earned.
• The restaurant that referred you, if that has paid out.
• A count of referrals still waiting — the ones who haven't subscribed yet.

We show the count for those but not their names. Whether another restaurant has subscribed is their business, not ours to pass on.

Good to know

• There's no limit. Refer five restaurants and you hold the founding price for five years past the increase.
• Nothing is taken back. If a restaurant you referred cancels later, your year stays. You made the introduction; what they did afterwards isn't yours to answer for.
• Referring is per restaurant. Each restaurant you run has its own code and its own years.
• You can't use your own code, and a code can only be recorded once.
• The price doesn't change on its own. When we reach 100 restaurants we'll tell you before anything moves. Your held years start counting from that day, not from the day you referred someone — so referring early costs you nothing.

If something's wrong

Entered a code and nothing happened? Check the Billing page under Founding price — it should name the restaurant that referred you. If it doesn't, the code may have been mistyped; codes aren't case-sensitive, but the letters have to match.

They subscribed but your year hasn't appeared? Check whether you're subscribed. Both sides have to be paying — see above. Still stuck? Get in touch.
